当然，杭州最有名的就是那一颗璀璨无比的明珠――西湖，传说是一颗明珠变成的。西湖位于杭州的西南面，它三面环山，东面是城市，面积约5.6平方公里，环绕一周约15公里，十分适合跑马拉松。西湖的美景一年四季各有特色，春天桃红柳绿、夏天红荷碧叶、秋天月光皎洁和冬天白雪皑皑。如果要用几句话概况西湖的话，苏东坡的这首诗再适合不过了：“水光潋滟晴方好，山色空蒙雨亦奇。欲把西湖比西子，淡妆浓抹总相宜。”

大家朝前面看，那里巍峨耸立、金光灿灿的就是雷峰塔了，它和白娘子的故事大家一定非常熟悉，我就不多说了。但这个塔早已不是当年镇压白娘子的那个石塔了，而是杭州这几年重新建造起来供人们登高望远的。
