第一篇:毕业演讲稿英语作文
I am for the robust and free exchange of ideas, as essential to the mission of a great university as it is to the health of our democracy.
I am for a world where we welcome the immigrant, the poor, and the forgotten; we did [do] not shut them out or silence them; a world where showing empathy and understanding is considered the true hallmark of success, of a life well-lived.
That is what I am for.
Yale’s mission says, in part, that we are “committed to improving the world today and for future generations.” That commitment does not end at graduation.
Soon you will leave Yale and, as Robert Penn Warren, who studied and taught at Yale, wrote, “You will go into the convulsion of the world, out of history and into history.”
Indeed, you’ll go into history and make history.

Good afternoon, everyone,
The topic of my speech today is “Being a Good Listener”.
Good listening can always show respect, promote understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship.
Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will understand them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students, then they can meet their needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their classmates, thus they will help and learn from each other, and a friends hip is likely to be formed.
What I want to stress is that each of us should listen to others. Show your respect and n ever stop others till they finish their talk; show you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-minded to different opinio ns even though you don't like them. In a word, good listening can really enable us to get closer to each other.
Thank you for your listening!

Looking around me today, I think of the generations of Yale graduates who have come before you. Inpiduals who have been for something.
There are many names we know and others that would be less familiar C presidents and world leaders, artists and business executives, scholars and scientists.
Like them, I know you will heed the call to leadership and service and leave your mark on every realm of human endeavor.
That is Yale’s mission C that is what Yale is for.
As members of the Yale community, what do we believe?
We believe that facts and expertise, applied with creativity and wisdom, can transform the world.
We believe that education and research save lives and make life more meaningful.
We believe that persity of thought and persity indeed are essential to human progress.
We believe, most of all, in the boundless potential of human ingenuity; that together, we can solve great challenges and bring light and truth to a world in great need of it.

Commencement is a milestone―one of life’s landmark occasions, a time when graduates, family members, and friends gather to celebrate past and future.
At the University of Michigan, Spring Commencement is a festive, campus-wide event where graduates are recognized by their school or college as a group, and honorary degrees are conferred. In addition to Spring Commencement, which all graduates are welcome to attend, each school, college and campus hold individual ceremonies to celebrate their graduates’ accomplishments.Class of 2019, Congratulations!
I join your professors, family members and friends in expressing my utmost pride as we celebrate your accomplishments as the newest graduates of the University of Michigan.
Graduates, you did it!
Each one of you earned a place here C and you made the most of it.
I know that for many of you, the road to get here was not easy. Perhaps you traversed some potholes along the way.
I have it on the highest authority, however, that these potholes are about to be filled, and the roads are going to get fixed …
But for those of you who are first-generation students, military veterans, or from communities, cities and towns that don’t send many students to Michigan C I hope you are especially relishing this day.
As members of the Class of 2019, all of you have conquered the rigors of our curricula.
You exceled in your studies, your research, your advocacy and your service. You found ways to navigate central campus, when we decided to renovate the LS&A building and the Union at the same time. And you even survived a polar vortex C with not one, but TWO, days of canceled classes.
Since we are here, you must have used that time to study.

This is for my people who just lost somebody, your best friend, your baby, your man or your lady. Lift your head to the sky, we will never say bye.
These are words of the song Bye-Bye. Every time when I hear it, I’ll always lose myself in grief recalling the tough time we came through in 20xx.
The snow storm, the Tibet issue, the obstruction to the Olympic torch relay, theearthquake……Time dates back to the day the horrible earth quake occurred in Sichuan, tens of thousands of people lost life and families. I’ll never forget those days I sat front of the TV, moved by people never gave up under ruins even there’s little hope to survive. I’ll never forget those days most newspapers and websites were all in black and white. I’ll never forget those days I had my black coat on, writing down my best wishes to the suffering people.
At the same time, I also remember those days my friends abroad told me that they joined in the protest against western world’s bias on China and the fight against the Tibetan separatists. I can still remember the day when I went to see the torch relay at Hangzhou with heart shaped stickers on cheek. I wore the T-shirt with words Light the Passion, Light the Dream . When the torch passed by, we cheered Go China, Go Beijing, sang the national anthem again and again, waving flags, dancing, hugging, clapping.
It was the opening ceremony of 20xx Beijing Olympic Games which shocked the whole world and told the entire human Yes, we can.
Yes, we can, because we are united and brave
Yes, we can because we have trust and love
Yes, we can because we are the member of the great nation China
